Founded by Ray Laporte and Karl Bischoff, we are a recognized leader in the manufacturing of electrical connectors and insulators. In 2017 I acquired the Company from Walter Pittman, Ray's son-in-law, who served as the CEO from 1985 to 2017. Rakar had been my employer for almost forty years at the time. Today, we continue as a family-owned & operated business. My son Diego Padilla serves as the company's Executive Vice-President.
Rakar is a Certified Woman, Minority-Owned and Operated Company registered with the State Department as an ITAR Manufacturer, we are an AS9100-D and ISO:9001 2015 Certified Supplier. We are experts in harnessing the durability and qualities of high grade engineered plastics and precious metal inserts. We consistently achieve 97-100% Quality Scores Industry-wide. We are intimately involved in the space program including the early capsules, the International Space Station, Space Shuttle, and Falcon 9 SpaceCraft.
